The bag that was left in Kungsträdgården during the Culture Festival contained an explosive device. At 21:40 on Sunday, Kungsträdgården in central Stockholm was evacuated after a bag was found outside a restaurant.
The national bomb squad was called there and detonated the object at 01:00. After an analysis, the police now confirm that the bag contained an explosive charge. A preliminary investigation into attempted public destruction has been initiated.
Now comes reactions. Finance councilor Anna König Jerlmyr expresses great gratitude to the police, and states that it could have ended very badly.
