On Tuesday, several reports have risen to the police in the Nord region. In total, there are eight notifications relating to one and the same – fraudsters who claim to be a child.

Fraudsters pretend to be a child – lurking in money
The fraudsters are deceiving their victims by writing that the child they claim to be has lost their mobile phone and received a new number. Then the fraudster asks for financial assistance.
There are also cases when you have pretended to be a granddaughter of any grandparent.
Often, the fraudster urges the victim to delete the old number he has for his child or grandchild.

On their website, the police write to be vigilant and never send money to someone you do not know. Furthermore, the police write that one should always call their child’s or grandchild’s original number to see if the new text message is correct.
“Call the person who sent the SMS and ask control questions to ensure that the person is the one it claims to be. Remember not to ask control questions that are easy to find on the net,” the police write on its homepage.
