During Saturday, an elderly couple was contacted by two men who claimed that the couple had been hacked. The men are said to have taken the couple’s bank card, from which they then withdrew tens of thousands of kroner. The incident took place in central Katrineholm.
Also on Friday, an elderly woman was cheated out of thousands of kroner. The fraudster contacted the woman by phone and managed to get hold of her money.
– We have seen that this type of perpetrator has attacked several in the local area in the past, but I do not know if these events are connected, says Olle Älveroth.
