The police warn of slippery road conditions after several serious traffic accidents in a short period of time.
– When the temperature drops in the evening, ice forms if the ground is still wet after the rain during the day, says TV4 meteorologist Ingrid Eronn.
On Saturday, several serious traffic accidents occurred in a short time in different parts of the country.
Among other things, on county road 55 outside Enköping, a 35-year-old woman died after two vehicles collided head-on. Also in Sandviken, a serious traffic accident occurred at 6:30 p.m., where two people were taken to hospital, one of them by ambulance helicopter.
Now the police urge caution in Saturday traffic.
“During the evening, several accidents occurred in the county, where slips were a common denominator. Take care in traffic and don’t forget to adjust your speed according to the road conditions,” writes the police in Västra Götaland County on their website.
The police in the Mitt region also warn of extremely slippery road conditions on the E18 after two accidents in a short time.
“Within the space of just a few minutes, two single-vehicle accidents occur on the E18 between Arboga and Köping. Police patrols announce that it is extremely slippery on the E18 due to prevailing road conditions,” the police write on their website.
