From this autumn, police technicians, investigators, forensic scientists, forensic technicians and intelligence personnel will work together with the Swedish Customs to better monitor the entire chain of escalating firearm violence. The new center will be located in Stockholm and the purpose is to have better international and national cooperation.
So far this year, 31 people have been shot dead in Sweden, which is significantly more than in previous years. It is now hoped that this trend can be reversed.
