Far-right politician Rasmus Paludan’s Koran burnings were the start of a wave of violence in several Swedish cities during the Easter weekend.
Hundreds of police officers were injured in the riots and both civilian vehicles and police cars were set on fire.
The police hold a press conference
The police have been criticized on several points after the riots. In a report from Linköping University, it emerged that there were too few police officers on site and that they lacked the right equipment. The district court has also criticized the police’s preparations.
Shortly after the riots, the external investigator Gunnar Karlsson was appointed to evaluate the work of the police during the riots. Now, at 9.30 on Wednesday morning, the investigation will be presented.
