Last week, a gate to an apartment building in Jakobsberg, northwest of Stockholm, was shot at.
New information to TV4 Nyheterna shows that the crime is connected to a gang conflict in the area.
The police now fear a new wave of violence.
It was on Thursday last week that the police received a call that loud bangs had been heard in a residential area in Jakobsberg. Once there, the police found bullet holes in a window to a gate in an apartment building.
– We were also able to find bullet holes that first penetrated the window and then went into a wall, police spokesperson Ola Österling told TV4 Nyheterna at the time.
Local drug conflict
No one is said to have been injured in the act. During the operation, the police are said to have seized several items by searching with dog patrols, including weapons and masks.
Information then indicated that the shooting had links to a criminal network. The police had also identified a possible target.
Information: Feared wave of violence
According to new information to TV4 Nyheterna, it is now confirmed that the shooting is linked to a local drug conflict in Järfälla, between networks in Jakobsberg and Viksjö.
The police now fear more crimes, partly against the target of the crime on Thursday, partly linked to a spiral of violence starting. Several addresses are therefore monitored.
