The many acts of violence and the increased terrorist threat level have led to a high workload for the police. Therefore, they are canceling certain training opportunities and exercises, reports Aftonbladet.
– It is mainly to free people to work with the wave of violence, says a source to the newspaper.
The decision is reported to be confirmed by the police, and must have been made by the regional management.
“The decision is based on the operational situation in combination with the high workload. The hope is that it will free up time from a work environment perspective and give more time for recovery,” writes Robert Sennerdal, press secretary in the Stockholm police region, to Aftonbladet.
