“The traffic situation is currently particularly difficult along E20 and national highway 26 in Skaraborg county, where access is very limited. Mainly this is due to heavy traffic that has great difficulty getting through,” the police write on their website.
The public is advised not to venture onto these roads. Long queues have formed and several road users have been stuck for hours.
The police state that they are also on site and assisting in the Swedish Transport Administration’s work to try to make the roads passable.
