Shortly after 01:00, the police were called to central Vetlanda after a man was beaten by an unknown person.
– He was initially uncontactable and was taken to hospital by ambulance, says police spokesperson Johnny Gustavsson.
The police have investigated and documented the crime scene and in connection with this also questioned witnesses at the scene. No suspected perpetrator has yet been arrested.
Another alarm
At 03:00, the police were again alerted to another serious assault in the southern part of Vetlanda. Here, too, it was about a man who had been abused and had to be taken to hospital.
– We questioned witnesses and people with insight into the incident and a report of serious assault has been drawn up. We have no suspect who is in custody, says Johnny Gustavsson.
