  • The police are investigating suspected rape in Enköping

    Just before midnight on the night of Sunday, the police in Enköping received an alarm that a woman had been raped outdoors in central Enköping.

    The area where the crime allegedly took place was cordoned off and police dogs searched for tracks. The police have started a preliminary investigation, but have not detained anyone, writes The police on their website.

    Israel’s two-front war continues to rage on Sunday after several explosions rocked Beirut and other areas of Lebanon.

    Three soldiers from the Lebanese military have also been killed in an Israeli attack.

    Lebanon’s military is not part of the conflict between Israel and Hezbollah.

    Since the conflict escalated in September, a total of eight Lebanese soldiers have been killed.

    Hezbollah has responded to Sunday’s attacks by firing a barrage of rockets at Israel.

    In the space of three minutes, around 70 projectiles were fired at Israel from Lebanon, according to Israel’s military. Several of them were shot down by anti-aircraft fire, while others crashed in open terrain.

  • Man arrested after cookie poisoning

    A 19-year-old man has been detained on probable cause on suspicion of aggravated assault in nine cases after a family was poisoned with hashish cookies in Karlskrona earlier this week.

    It appears according to documents from the district court.

    Among other things, two children who ingested the cookies received treatment in an intensive care unit and were treated for serious injuries. Seven of the people managed easily.

    According to sources within the company, it is now negotiating with lenders to apply for bankruptcy protection in the coming weeks in the hope of being able to implement structural changes and save the restaurants from liquidation.

    TGI Fridays is one of several American restaurant chains in the so-called “casual dining” segment that is fighting for its survival. Even brands such as Red Lobster and Hooters are on the ropes, according to Bloomberg.

    Israel has carried out two airstrikes against the southern parts of the Lebanese capital Beirut, the Times of Israel reports, citing Lebanese state media.

    Israel’s army had previously called on civilians to evacuate Hezbollah’s headquarters in the city.

    According to a statement from Israel’s military, robots were later fired from Lebanon at northern Israel. One of them was shot back in the air and two others landed in open areas in the northern parts of the country.
