“We have received tips that vehicles that previously occurred in connection with catalytic converter thefts have been seen in the county in Stugun now. We are working to locate it, but still want to warn of the risk of theft,” the police write in the warning sent out to the public via SMS.
The models that have previously suffered thefts in the county have included Toyota and Volvo.
According to the police, it is not uncommon for thieves to return to a vehicle where the catalytic converter was previously stolen, and which has been replaced with a new catalytic converter, to seize it as well.
