“In early September, the first packaging will be out in the trade. They will then be able to order directly,” Pantamera writes on their website.

“It is the first possible launch window period at Systembolaget, grocery trade and service trade for 2025. The transition period is 12 months, which is a relatively long time to secure such a smooth transition for everyone involved.”

There are several requirements such as PET bottles and jars must fulfill in order to be pledged.
In addition to the packaging having a mortgage mark and included in the Swedish mortgage system, it must have a readable EAN code and be whole/not flattened.
But the most important thing for those who want to secure their mortgage money is to keep track of the calendar. A can or PET bottle must be pledged within two years from the last sale date.
Return Pack has confirmed for News24 That the last day for the sale of products with the old mortgage is December 31, 2026. These can thus be pledged until no later than December 31, 2028.
