Three years after the nightmare experienced following the catastrophic launch of Cyberpunk 2077, the CD Projekt Red studio can finally smile again. This has already been the case for several months and the improvements made over the patches, but with the more than successful launch of the “Phantom Liberty” DLC, the heart is today light on the side of Warsaw. The Polish studio has in fact revealed quite a few figures, starting with the number of copies sold for the solo expansion with Idriss Elba. More than 3 million copies sold in one week of operation, this is obviously more than positive, knowing that it is on PC that the game has made the most people happy.
There are in fact 68% of Phantom Liberty sales on this platform, compared to 20% for the PS5 and 13% for the Xbox Series X. As a result, in its entirety, the Cyberpunk 2077 license generated more than 25 million sales. In fact, the teams will be able to properly shift to the development of The Witcher 4, without forgetting other new projects, such as this association with the production company Anonymous Content (True Detective, Mr. Robot) in order to produce a film or a live-action series, it has not yet been decided. We can already imagine Keanu Reeves and Idriss Elba being hired in their respective roles, unless we go for something else…
