What is Peter Pan about?

Disney itself does not describe the project as a remake, but as “Live-action reimagining of the JM Barrie novel and 1953 animated classic”. So apparently we have it not with a 1-on-1 remake in the style of The Lion King to do. Peter Pan & Wendy seems much freer. The trailer certainly exudes dark fantasy-adventure vibes and its best scenes are reminiscent of the Pirates of the Caribbean films of the 00s. Only with cheeky children instead of Johnny Depp as Jack Sparrow.

Almost every child knows the story: Peter Pan & Wendy is about the shy Wendy Darling from London. One night she meets Peter Pan, a boy who doesn’t want to grow up. Together with her brothers and a little fairy, Tinker Bell, she travels to Neverland with Peter. The nasty pirate captain Captain Hook lurks in the magical world.

When does Peter Pan start on Disney+?
