But if you compare it to 2019, the performances were 30 percent fewer and the audience a whopping 60 percent smaller.
Kulturanalys states that it is “throughout clear” that the performing arts were affected by the restrictions issued due to the pandemic.
The survey covers performing arts with state or regional annual grants, or activities with municipalities as principals. Public grants accounted for 91 percent of revenue in 2021.
