The quest for the perfect vintage jean can be a long, winding road. Except in this brand new store where you can find the rare pearl, brought up to date.
This is the good news that fashionistas have been waiting for. Re/Donethe vintage denim specialist, is opening its very first Parisian boutique on Thursday June 16, 2022. The brand’s story begins in Los Angeles in 2014, when Sean Barron and Jamie Mazur decide to enter the vintage market. But there is no question for the two entrepreneurs of being yet another thrift store. Their credo is rather to hunt for jeans models and resize them so that they have a retro quickdraw and a cut in tune with the times. Very quickly, the brand forged a partnership with Levi’s. A winning bet since their waiting list lengthens over the weeks.
Re/Done arrives in Paris
Already sold on 24Sèvres, Net-A-Porter or even Matchesfashion, the brand is now settling in Paris, 22, rue de Grenelle in the 7th districtth borough. Until now, the Californian brand had four American stores : two in California, one in Florida and one in New York. This first store on the other side of the Atlantic, which measures 50 square meters, will be an opportunity for Re/Done fans to buy the brand’s increasingly extensive ready-to-wear collections, as well as pieces unearthed by the label’s teams. “Like Americans, the French have a strong affinity for vintage, for denim and for Californian culture. However, until today, we had never really had the opportunity to offer our products or present our brand in Paris. Re/Done Paris is the opportunity to launch the brand in a memorable way in this city, offering an in-depth look at the ethical principles of our business“, says Cynthia Mittweg, head of the label in a press release. What is certain is that the store at 22, rue de Grenelle promises to be the new haunt of indigo dingos.
