The football championship that Germany’s Leverkusen completely messed up will be felt all the way to Turku.

The championship of Lukas Hradecky and Leverkusen was taken into account in Turku right from the start, when the mayor Minna Arve congratulated “Lukea” in the messaging service X.
– Yes, it’s okay for the mayor to vent too. And fittingly, Lukas Hradecky’s field in Runosmäki has also been put into use, Arve wrote.
Hradecky’s foster club TPS also takes into account the championship in X.
A football field in Runosmäki was named after Hradecky, who won the Turkuman of the Year title in 2021. Hradecky spent his childhood in the suburb of Runosmäki and his career can be said to have started there.

So far, the city of Turku has no plans to consider Hradecky’s Bundesliga championship.
Second vice-chairman of the Turku City Council and Member of Parliament of the Left Alliance Timo Furuholm has filed a council initiative for the city to organize a folk festival in honor of Hradecky in the coming summer.
