President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyi has rewarded a dog to help find mines.
Patron dog and its owner Myhailo Iliev was awarded at a press conference when the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau visited Kiev.
The Jack Russell Terrier is said to have already found 200 explosives and helped dismantle them. According to Zelensky, the patron has also helped educate children about the dangers of mines, so the hero dog has become an important symbol in Ukraine’s fight against Russian attacks.
