The painters’ strike is over – the parties agree

The strike among painters has been called off as the parties have agreed on a new collective agreement, the Painters union announces in a press release.

The new collective agreement with the counterparty Måleriföretagen applies to approximately 13,000 painters and involves wage increases of 7.4 percent, as low as SEK 2,480 a month, during the contract period, which is 24 months.

390 painters were taken out on strike last Friday. All notified industrial action is withdrawn by the union. Sympathy notices posted by the Electricians, Real Estate and Construction are also revoked.
