The Oscar winners of the year are coming to the Star Wars universe, but don’t get too excited

Daniel Scheinert and Dan Kwan couldn’t be more highly rated in Hollywood. The creators of Everything Everywhere All at Once scooped three awards at the Oscars for the sci-fi film alone. It has now become known that she also sat in the director’s chairs for the series Star Wars: Skeleton Crew. Unfortunately, their creative influence is severely limited. Star Wars series brings Oscar winners on board – but only for a short time

The Hollywood Reporter first reported Scheinert and Kwan’s involvement with Skeleton Crew, but had no information as to the extent of their directorial responsibilities. The directors delivered them shortly afterwards via Instagram, as quoted by Discussing Film on Twitter:

We’re not working on a whole series, we’re have guest directed an episode. We shot them last year.

So the series about the adventurous space journey of a group of children will benefit little from Scheinert’s and Kwan’s unique imagery. Little else is known about the project. Jude Law is the only confirmed cast member of the Star Wars series so far.

When is the Star Wars series Skeleton Crew coming to Disney+?

Skeleton Crew has been for the year so far 2023 announced on Disney+. However, sources at Making Star Wars report production issues that could delay the launch date.
