– Regardless of what they have said, it is wrong to chase a journalist who is doing his job. We have always welcomed reviews and criticism, says Nabil Abdulmajid, spokesperson for the Sunday demonstrations in Malmö.
Do you know who these people are who have demonstrated outside the journalist’s home?
– No, we don’t know and it really has nothing to do with us.
Harder language in Arabic
Sydsvenskan’s review shows that some speakers at these demonstrations have used harsher language in Arabic than they did in Swedish.
– This has nothing to do with us. We have been demonstrating peacefully now for ten months. We have nothing to hide, says Nabil Abdulmajid.
Do you do anything special to keep track of what speakers are saying?
– Now we have been driving all the time in English and Swedish. If someone wants to speak in Arabic, we explain what it means, but it is a small part. The majority of people you see go on Sundays. If they heard something wrong then they wouldn’t come, says Nabil Abdulmajid.
