Fifa announced its plans for the 2030 men’s World Cup.
The 2030 FIFA Men’s World Cup will be played in six countries and three continents, International Football Association Fifa has confirmed.
Spain, Portugal and Morocco have been named as the hosts, with the opening three matches played in Uruguay, Argentina and Paraguay.
The opening matches in South America are intended to celebrate the centenary of the World Cup, as it will be 100 years since the first World Cup tournament played in Montevideo, Uruguay in 1930.
The decision is to be ratified at the Fifa Congress next year.
