Andry Raobelina’s state of health will not allow him to set foot on Malagasy soil before a month, i.e. after the first round of the presidential election scheduled for November 16. After two operations in Mauritius, he was forbidden to fly, at risk with the altitude and pressure of ” see his eye explode », he confides to RFI.
De facto excluded from the presidential race, the latter is therefore demanding a postponement due to another case of force majeure.
Candidate No. 7 had already filed a first request to this effect. It was rejected by the HCC, which considered that Andry Raobelina exposed himself “ willingly » to the risks linked to demonstrations.
From this second request, the opposition candidate therefore expects recognition by the HCC of a case of force majeure within the meaning of article 47 of the Constitution, according to which new dates can be set for the elections.
For its part, the “ collective of 11 » said he was absolutely supportive of the approach by Andry Raobelina. He also began a new week of peaceful demonstrations in the streets of the capital.
