As the deadline for submitting presidential candidacies ended on Monday, it was impossible for the opposition to register the name of the replacement, Corina Yoris.
Without mentioning this name once, Nicolas Maduro, who came to present his candidacy to the National Electoral Council on March 25, made a very clear reference to the situation. “ How many candidates so far? 9? The opposition denounces maneuvers by the authorities to prevent a free and transparent vote where the entire political spectrum could be represented.
