The Economic Crimes Repression Court (CRIEF) is investigating the liquidation of the defunct Air Guinée in 2002. The leader of the UFDG was then Minister of Air Transport and had privatized the national company. Cellou Dalein Diallo is notably suspected of having embezzled nearly 5,000,000 dollars. His lawyers refute these accusations and denounce formal defects in this summons.
This is the second time that Cellou Dalein Diallo, currently abroad, has not appeared before the CRIEF. Joined by RFI, Maître Amadou Diallo, one of his lawyers, denounces formal defects.
This second call is not regular. It violates the Code of Criminal Procedure, in particular article 144 which expressly provides that a minimum period of ten days and a maximum of two months must be respected.
