Last season’s ski jumper finished 15th in Lillehammer.
Jenny Rautionaho finished 15th as the best Finn in the opening competition of the Ski Jumping Women’s World Cup in Lillehammer, Norway. On Saturday, he jumped 119.5 meters in the first round and 115 meters in the second.
Last season, Rautionaho finished 12th in the World Cup. He has stated that his goals for this season are to consistently reach the top ten in the World Cup and to fight for a World Cup medal.
Rautionaho was quite satisfied with his performance on Saturday.
– In terms of investment, it’s a very good day. The jumps weren’t the best. There are problems with the mountain. You don’t get a good feeling on your feet, where you could start to push in the right direction. Quite positive signals, however, Rautionaho reflected on the audio recording of the Finnish Ski Association.
Also Julia Kykkänen opened his World Cup points account and finished 29th. He jumped 112.5 meters in the first round, but fell short of 98.5 meters in the second round, dropping three places.
Slovene Nika Prevc won overwhelmingly. He totaled 269.9 points with jumps of 138.5 and 138 meters and left second-placed Germany by Katharina Schmid 22.3 points away. Germany’s Selina Freitag was third. of Austria Jacqueline Seifriedsberger stretched the longest slice of the qualifier to 134 meters, but was disqualified for an illegal wetsuit.
Kykkänen and Rautionaho already worked in Lillehammer on Friday, when they finished Kasperi Valton and Antti Aalton with sixth in the mixed team competition. On Sunday, the individual suurmäki competition will be jumped again.
