“The only film that I like to spend money on in the cinema”

One of New York’s most iconic fire stations returns to theaters next year. In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, old and new ghost hunters go on a mission to save the city.

What kind of film is this? Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire opens in German cinemas on March 28, 2024 and will be the sequel to Ghostbusters: Legacy from 2021.

Ghostbusters: Legacy brought the iconic ghost hunters from the 80s back to the big screen two years ago. You can now get a first look at the new adventure in a trailer:

What does the trailer show? The trailer begins on a beautiful summer day in New York. People talk about a heat warning while you see children playing in the water or people lying contentedly on the beach.

Shortly afterwards the picture changes completely as a layer of ice falls over the sea and people flee the water in panic. Shortly afterwards, the whole of New York is covered in a thick layer of ice.

The children and grandchildren of the well-known ghost hunter Dr. Egon Spenglers are faced with a new mission and new puzzles. In this part, they are again embodied by well-known faces such as Paul Rudd (Ant-man) or Finn Wolfhard (“Stranger Things”).

Above all, the trailer suggests that you can expect to see the original ghost hunters again.

Fans can look forward to seeing the old team again

The group consisting of Bill Murray (Dr. Peter Venkman), Dan Aykroyd (Dr. Raymond “Ray” Stantz), Ernie Hudson (Winston Zeddemore) and Sigourney Weaver (Dana Barrett) even seem to have a pretty big role in Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire play.

In any case, unlike the 2021 film, the trailer promises that they won’t just have small cameo appearances. There is also a reunion with the unsympathetic lawyer Walter Peck from the first film from 1984.

These are the reactions: In the comments (via YouTube), fans express their joy at finally seeing a trailer and how good it turned out. Due to the strikes of the last four months, film fans in particular often had to wait for news and pictures about new films.

The fans are now even more excited:
