The Olympics: one test too many for the festivals?

The Olympics one test too many for the festivals

Like every year, the Printemps de Bourges opens the music festival season in France. The 48th edition is organized this week, with many artists planned: Mika, Martin Solveig, Shaka Ponk and even Eddy de Pretto.

These headliners are expected at other festivals, at least in those which have survived the schedule imposed by the Olympic Games. Indeed, after Covid-19 and inflation, 2024 promises to be even more complicated for festivals, which must deal with the summer’s global sporting event and an already weakened economy.

With our guests :

-Agathe Bellenguez, deputy general director of the Zone51 association which is responsible for organizing the Summer Vibration Festival

– Matthew Ducosdirector of the Rock en Seine festival and elected to the Festival Committee of the Ekhoscenes union (ex-Prodiss).
