18-year-old Tara Babulfath, the youngest judoka of all in the Olympics, won the bronze medal match in the 48kg class against Abiba Abuzhankynova of Kazakhstan after an ippon with 36 seconds left in the match. The Swede managed to recharge after a dramatic semi-final where she lost to world number four Natsumi Tsunoda from Japan after incurring three warnings. The medal is the first Swedish judo medal in an Olympic Games in history.
