The top sports director was invited to an open application as soon as possible.
The Olympic Committee’s change negotiations ended. The change negotiations lead to a reduction of four staff years. In addition, the management team will be reduced to four people in addition to the CEO.
During the fall, the Olympic Committee’s own fundraising did not progress as expected, and a deficit of 500,000 euros was created in the original budget. Because of this, the finances had to be adjusted and changes made to both operational and personnel costs.
After the change negotiations, 55 people work in the Olympic Committee. As a result of the negotiations, the job descriptions of several employees will change.
The Olympic Committee opens a public search for new and previously unfilled positions in the fall.
The management team is looking for a top sports director and as a new role a director of marketing, communication and sales. The Olympic Committee says in its press release that the top sports director will be looking for a change leader who focuses especially on the top stage and unites the Finnish top sports network.
Both positions will be open to the public as soon as possible. They will be decided by the new government elected on November 30.
