Forest fires have claimed a dozen deaths in Chile. A state of emergency has been declared for the fire areas.
In Chile, which is located in South America, forest fires caused by a heat wave have caused great destruction.
Two hundred homes and more than 47,000 hectares of forest have been destroyed in the fires that started on Wednesday.
The helicopter involved in the firefighting has fallen and the firefighters on board have died.
The Chilean government has declared a state of emergency in the regions of Nuble and Biobio. In addition, fires have also been observed in the areas of Maule and La Araucania. There are 204 active separate fires in the area, more than a quarter of which are burning uncontrollably.
