“My hoba hoba pierces walls! » – « I mean that my word demolishes the walls! »
Henri-Michel Yéré’s new poetic collection is written in nouchi – a living language spoken in Côte d’Ivoire, made up of a mixture of French and several local and international languages – and in French, in the form of a poetic dialogue between Polo and the Future. Yéré gives poetry the power to go beyond the linearity of time, to multiply our visions, and brings out a certainty: when there is dialogue, all loneliness ends up disappearing.
