Notre-Dame Cathedral, one of the most famous landmarks in Paris, will be solemnly reopened in ceremonies today and tomorrow. The centuries-old church was badly destroyed in a fire that raged in April 2019.

President of France Emmanuel Macron speaks at the opening ceremonies, where dozens of leaders from abroad are also expected.

Among other things, the president Alexander Stubb participates for the opening. Also the next president of the United States Donald Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyi have said that they will travel to Paris.

Notre-Dame’s repair work, which took more than five years and cost 700 million euros, was covered by donations.
