Sure, there are some slight gameplay issues here and there, but overall it’s a very polished game thanks to its polished game mechanics, Star Wars-inspired graphics, wonderful narrative and characters, including music, sound effects and voice acting, Ultimately, Respawn Entertainment effectively draws you into the character of Cal Kestis as you fight the good fight to keep the “dark side” at bay. Rather than taking us back to square one to start Cal’s journey as a Padawan all over again, we’re given control of a full-fledged Jedi Knight who we can mold into a master of superhuman mobility and fantastically challenging combat. . With a new set of larger, more diverse, and densely populated worlds to explore and a memorable cast of returning characters, Survivor tells a story that may be predictable but is still fun and at times emotional to watch unfold. Launch performance issues aside, it’s a sequel that does just about everything better than the original – which was already an outstanding Star Wars game. If Respawn does another like this, it will complete the best Star Wars trilogy in 30 years, hands down.
