Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold was named to the Norwegian team for the World Cup in Oberhof in January.
On Monday, the Norwegian Biathlon Union named its athletes for the World Cup in Oberhof, Germany, and Ingrid Landmark Tandrevold is in the group.
Tandrevold, who belongs to the women’s stars of biathlon, has been on the sidelines since the Kontiolahti World Cup event in November-December due to heart problems.
Tandrevold underwent heart surgery last week due to arrhythmia.
It is not yet certain whether Tandrevold will compete at Oberhof, although he has been named to the team.
Norwegian national team manager Per Arne Botnan said on Monday that decisions will be made closer to the Oberhof Games. The Oberhof World Cup event is from 9th to 12th. January.
Tandrevold, 28, has won medals at the World Championships ten times, including relays.
Last season, he was third in the overall World Cup race and first in the sprints. In the 2020–2021 season, Tandrevold was the best of the World Cup joint starts.
