Aimed at SVT expert Jacob Hårds after his outburst about her.

Norwegian skiing has long believed and hoped for the former super talent Kristine Stavå’s Ski City who turns 24 at the beginning of February. There have been mixed results over the years, but now comes the championship where she will have her big international breakthrough.

Norwegian success

The Norwegian has really been in top form for this year’s Ski World Championships in Planica, Slovenia, and beat the entire Swedish elite in sprints during the last World Cup weekend in Les Rousses, France. Sweden has otherwise dominated the sprint, but this weekend Skistad finished ahead of three Swedes and won the race ahead of the blue and yellow stars Emma Ribom and Maja Dahlqvistwho took care of the other two podium places.

Hard play

The sprint will be what will kick-start the WC 2023 in Planica as early as February 22. Then Stavås Skistad hopes that she managed to preserve the fine form until then.
– The plan was actually to be in good shape for the WC, so this (sprint victory at the World Cup) came a little too early. But I have to bet on being even stronger then, says the Norwegian to Viaplay.
