On Wednesday, road E6, which runs through Norway and western Sweden, was inaugurated. This after the road was closed following a landslide in Stenungsund on September 23, 2023. According to the Swedish Transport Administration, the landslide not only affected the E6 but also a large part of the environment in the area.

On site during the opening was King Carl XVI Gustaf who would be the first to drive the new E6 in one of the Swedish Transport Administration’s cars, which NyheterSto was the first to report on.
The plan was for the king to drive back and forth a distance of 400 meters.

Before the king’s car ride, the Swedish Transport Administration set up barriers of various kinds, which meant that a Norwegian managed to slip past and sniffed the king on the first car ride on the newly asphalted road.
– A Norwegian passed signs and managed to get onto the newly built road, but he was not allowed to continue his journey on the E6, but was helped to get out of here and on the right road, the Swedish Transport Agency’s staff told NewsSto.
Instead of the king, it was a Norwegian who inaugurated the E6.
Despite this, the king did not seem particularly concerned.
