The northern link is closed after a technical fault – again

The northern link in Stockholm has been closed due to a technical error that occurred shortly before eleven o’clock on Thursday morning.
– It is closed from the Norrtull interchange to the Värtan interchange in both directions. We don’t know what the problem is yet, we are troubleshooting, says Felicia Danielsson, press communicator at the Swedish Transport Administration.

According to the Swedish Transport Administration, the entire Northern Link must be closed, except for the Haga Tunnel and the Eugenia Tunnel. The problem contributes to a very large traffic impact.

There is currently no forecast for when the problem may be fixed.

– There is no clear forecast at the moment. There are many people who use this road and that means that you try to find other roads. It’s going very slowly right now and it’s spreading around town, says Katarina Wolssram, also a press communicator at the Swedish Transport Agency.

Last Monday, Norra länken was shut down, also then as a result of a technical problem.

On trafiken.nu you can follow the traffic situation.
