The Nordic countries and the Baltic countries, the NB8 countries, have made a common statement in which they support Ukraine on the road towards peace and demand the end of the Russian offensive war.

– We repeat our demand for a complete, absolute and immediate 30 -day ceasefire that can be renewed. Only the attacker, Russia, has refused to accept this approach, the statement says.

The countries urge Russia to refrain from all attacks on all civilians and civil infrastructure.

– Alongside the European Union, the United States and partners, we are ready to set additional sanctions if the ceasefire is not followed.
