Gustav Rydahl has not played a game since December 19 due to a back injury. Now it is clear that the Frölunda center will be gone for the rest of the season.
Frölunda’s medical team has made the decision that the back now needs surgery.
“Of course it’s sad for both us and Gustav,” says Frölunda’s sports manager Fredrik Sjöström to the club’s website.
2022 left Gustav Rydahl Ferry city for games in the American AHL. After one season, the 29-year-old returned to Sweden and Frölunda.

Gustav Rydahl has scored three goals and three assists in 24 games in Frölunda this season.
The injury report was Frölunda’s second in two days. On Sunday it was clear that Jayden Halbgewachs injury in Saturday’s match against Skellefteå was a broken wrist and he is expected to be out for three months.
