The NHL Swede struck with the first goal of the season last night: “Finally it paid off”

Axel Jonsson Fjällby had his first goal of the season and an assist as his Winnipeg beat Detroit at home 5-2 in the NHL.
– Our chain has gotten better and better and it’s fun that it finally paid off, says Jonsson Fjällby according to nhl.com.

He plays along with Morgan Barron and the Swede David Gustafsson.
– We work well together. We skate a lot and keep it simple. Thinks about defense first, says Jonsson Fjällby.

The first period was a low-scoring story that Detroit won 1–0. But in the second period it let up and Winnipeg was able to go 4–1 and take control, among other things after Jonsson Fjällby’s full hit which came after he was played to a free position by Dylan Samberg.

The score means that the Swedish striker has now collected three points in 13 games.
