15 seasons in the world’s best hockey league and Stanley Cup champion twice. Yes, there are many great moments with Peter Forsberg in the NHL.
Now the league has gathered the very best.
There is no doubt whatsoever that Peter Forsberg is one of Sweden’s greatest hockey players of all time. In addition to the incredible ice hockey “Foppa” who played game in and game out, he was a winner like no other – and his huge track record is proof of that.
Incredible career
Among other things, he won the Olympics and the World Cup twice, has as many Stanley Cup wins and is one of the few Swedes who has been inducted into the hockey Hall of Fame.
During the largest part of his NHL career, “Foppa” represented the Colorado Avalanche, where he has real icon status today. It was also where he won the NHL twice, and so also where he had his best moments during his many years as a hockey professional.
“Foppa’s” best moments
Peter Forsberg ended his career after the 2010/2011 season. When the definitive decision on his retirement from the sport became official, the internet overflowed with tribute videos to the legendary Swede.
