The images were released in a somewhat unconventional and slightly bizarre way.
The pictures appeared on Dodge’s official Facebook page on Friday, along with the text: “No cameras or recording devices allowed. Pre-production model shown. Available late 2024.”
It thus appears that they have wanted to imitate the feeling of an image leak, even if they themselves have leaked the images.

Confirmed by Dodge
This is admittedly an odd way to show off a new model, but Dodge has confirmed Engine1 that the car in the pictures is very much the next generation Dodge Charger.
In many cases when a manufacturer publishes pictures of a pre-production car, it is covered with camouflage to not fully show what the car looks like.

That is not the case here. However, the photos are taken from questionable angles or through a fence, which makes it difficult to get a picture of certain details.

Classic Charger features
Based on what can be seen in the images, the pre-production car looks a lot like the concept car shown in 2022.
However, some body lines appear a little less aggressive on the pre-series car, and some details have been adjusted to get the car approved for road use.

For example, the roofline seems to have been raised, and the rear-view mirrors have become significantly larger.
As a whole, the car has clear features of the most iconic generations of the Dodge Charger, which were produced from 1968 to 1970.

Another name resurfaces
Shortly after the pictures of the car’s front were released on Facebook, Dodge also published a picture of the car’s rear on Instagram.
The image confirms that the classic Daytona name will be resurrected, most likely on the all-electric version of the Charger.

There are also rumors that there will be a gasoline-powered version of the new Charger, but not with a big V8 in classic muscle car fashion.
Instead, the engine is said to be a straight six equipped with twin turbo units.
