The German fantasy film Silver and the Book of Dreams takes place in London, where Liv (Jana McKinnon) finally wants to find peace after many restless years of moving. There, however, she meets the mysterious Henry (Rhys Mannion), who holds strange rituals with his friends in the cemetery. Through him, Liv learns about lucid dreaming: As dream travelers, they can travel to adventurous worlds. But the fulfillment of every dream has a price, especially since the fascinating excursions can quickly turn into nightmares.

Silver and the Book of Dreams by director Helena Hufnagel is based on the first volume of the same name Book trilogy called Silver * by Kerstin Gier. The fantasy novels are very popular among young people in Germany and parts 2 and 3 both made it to number 1 on the Spiegel bestseller list.
The name of the fantasy author may already be familiar to many people. Kerstin Gier also wrote the originals for the gemstone trilogy, which were adapted for the cinema with ruby red, sapphire blue and emerald green. Silber is now the next fantasy trilogy from her pen, which will be filmed by Amazon Prime.
