It considers the destruction of religious sites as possible war crimes unless the action is a necessity. Drawing attention to this situation, NYT stated that Israeli officials did not respond to requests for comment.

BOMB ATTACK ON SCHOOL

According to the official Palestinian news agency WAFA, Israeli forces targeted the city of Khan Younis in the south of Gaza with howitzers throughout the night.

At least 5 Palestinians were killed and dozens were injured when the Israeli army bombed a school where displaced Palestinians took shelter.

REACTION FROM ÖMER ÇELİK

AK Party Spokesperson Ömer Çelik reacted to Israel’s attacks on Gaza on his social media account. Çelik used the following statements in his post:

“Attacks against Muslim holy places in Gaza, East Jerusalem and the West Bank are acts of humanity. Those who provocate against Muslim holy places will face these crimes when the day comes. Israel’s state terrorism and settler terrorism against Palestinian civilians will be a matter of the International Criminal Court.

The Israeli administration continues its brutal massacres against Palestinians, disregarding all kinds of sacred things. Finally, Israeli soldiers who raided the Jenin Refugee Camp entered a mosque and carried out a provocation. “The Israeli administration has once again made history with its immoral attitude towards the most basic human values.”
