The New Year event starts tomorrow in Pokémon GO. We at MeinMMO will show you when the event starts, what bonuses there are and what content you can expect.

What’s the event? Pokémon GO celebrates the turn of the year with a suitable New Year’s event. In addition to celebratory avatar items, there will also be costumed Pokémon, raids with Reshiram and Mega Steelix, as well as egg bonuses and fireworks. When is the event running? The event starts on Saturday, December 31st at 22:00 and runs until January 4th, 2023 at 20:00 local time. Shortly before the start of the New Year event, the Christmas event Winter Holidays Part 2 will also end.

Bonuses:

  • Eggs placed in an incubator during the event will hatch twice as fast.
  • Quarter hatch distance for the first three eggs hatched during the event using the Pokémon Egg widget in Pokémon GO.
