Nightingale postpones its release by several months. In a video, the CEO of the developer studio talks about the background.

What kind of game is this? Nightingale (PC) is an upcoming survival MMO coming to Steam. Developed by Inflexion Games, the title is set in an open fantasy world decorated in a Victorian style.

Accordingly, the setting promises to mix elements of industrialized England with fairies and monsters. You explore a new world and pursue the goal of building a life there. But in the new world, dangers are lurking everywhere that are trying to kill you.

When is the new release? Nightingale was originally supposed to be in Early Access in 2022, but the release has since been pushed back to the first half of 2023.

On May 17, 2023, Inflexion Games announced that Nightingale’s Early Access release would once again be pushed back to Fall 2023.

Inflexion Games wants to protect the health of the team

Why is the release postponed? In a video on YouTube, Inflexion Games CEO Aaryn Flynn spoke about the reasons for the postponement. This allows the team to continue making development progress while protecting the health of the developers.

The reason for the release date shift is simple: the playtest process works. The feedback we received from players was invaluable and the extra time
will allow us to continue the progress made without jeopardizing the health of our team.

What work do you have to do in the meantime? In the video, Aaryn Flynn also shared some insights into the work ahead the team hopes to tackle in their newfound time.

This includes various “Quality of Life” improvements, which affect, for example, the animations of the workbench, as well as the ongoing work on the so-called realms to make them as mystical as possible.

An upgrade to the latest version of the Unreal Engine is also on the agenda.
