The new super offer to Rasmus Dahlin makes him the third highest paid in the NHL

There was no hockey WC for Rasmus Dahlin.
But right now, he has become a huge talking point in the NHL.
Because of the new rumor that is about a shock offer to him.

There were many of us who were looking forward to seeing Rasmus Dahlin represent Sweden in the hockey World Cup. There were also early reports that he had accepted, but then came the big turn which meant that the 23-year-old was forced to decline the world championship due to injury problems.

No World Cup game

It was one of many “no thanks” from NHL Swedes to this year’s hockey WC and thus Tre Kronor was not enough to reach further than a WC quarter-final. Where there was a sensational outing against the host nation Latvia.

Rasmus Dahlin currently has one year left on his current contract but the likelihood of the new contract being signed this summer seems extremely likely, according to the Buffalo reporter. Only 23 years old, the Swede has already scored 233 points in 355 games during his five seasons in the NHL.

After some more conversations the last few days my understanding is this can be upgraded from “close” to “pretty much done.”

Nothing can be official until 7/1, of course, but 8 years, $80 million ($10 million cap hit) is what I’m expecting when all is said and done. https://t.co/moe2oXDdDG
