Synced is a third-person shooter with roquelite elements and is scheduled for release in summer 2023. MeinMMO briefly introduces the shooter and explains its special features.
What kind of game is this? Vampire Survivors did it. The small indie game was a huge surprise success, even for the developer who developed the game alongside his day job.
You start a round weak and get random upgrades that lead to insane and over-the-top builds. Game pearls like Enter the Gungeon or The Binding of Isaac have already had great success with the principle.
Synced takes the Roquelite approach to a new level – graphically alone. The third-person shooter throws you into a level, you have to survive three areas and then fight a big boss. In between, you tinker with your build, which you only have until the match is over.
Perma-Death is also typical of the genre: If all players go down, you go back to base and start all over again. However, not everything is lost through the collected experience points and mods. Here you also collect strength for the runs. But the most power is in the match.
Synced Free2Play will be released for PC on Steam in summer 2023 and is also scheduled to appear for PS5 and Xbox Series. It can be experienced with 3 players in co-op. There will also be PvP – 12 players in teams of 3 fight against each other. Here’s the latest trailer:

What is special about Synced? The companions called “Nano” are really wild. When putting together your loadouts, you choose a character with special properties and also a nano, which also has its own characteristics.
While you are in complete control of your character’s abilities, the Nano does its own thing on the battlefield. However, you can also give commands to the cattle. Some attack and some defend you.
This gives you a lot of freedom in putting together your build and you can already go in a certain direction, for example armor penetration. During the match, you will then have a chance to obtain more skills of this type. For example, that several opponents lose their armor at the same time.
The matches themselves are really crisp, especially at the beginning, when you haven’t quite internalized the missions and mechanics. The longer it takes, the heavier the enemies within an area become.
After three areas, you must fight a boss with unique mechanics. You will already be confronted with the mechanics of the boss in the previous areas so that you know roughly what to expect.
When is the release? There is no exact date yet, but Synced should appear in summer 2023. Then the shooter will celebrate its release on September 21st at the latest – those responsible also confirmed this to us at a preview event.
What’s next after the release? Synced is a Free2Play shooter and will be financed through visual items. There will be a Battle Pass and regular new seasons.
With each season, a new character comes into play and brings fresh skills with it. The story revolves around this character.
